Page 1 THE ADDITIONAL IMAGES MUST HAVE BACKGROUNDS (NOT TRANSPARENT) WHICH MUST BE HIDDEN USING LAYER MASKS, NOT ERASED/DELETED. Collect 6 different accessories and 1 unique background image* Suggested accessories: • hairstyle/hair pieces (braid, ponytail, bun, mohawk, etc.) from a different reference photo ⚫ hair accessories: bow, clip, hat, etc. • shirt, cape, jacket, scarf, necktie, armor • jewelry: necklace, earring(s), piercings, lapel pin, rings, bracelets • eyeglasses, goggles, monocle • weapons: knife, dagger, safety pins, syringe, scalpel, drill, axe, etc. ⚫ wounds (blood drips, cuts, claw marks, bones, peeling skin, burns, etc.) ⚫ animal features: nose, ears, whiskers, fangs, pupils/eyes, claws, etc. • machine parts, gears, circuits, wires, chains, etc. ⚫ themed backgrounds* (sunsets, city, country, landscape, interior, zoo, boats, explosions, etc.) *You may opt to use the Generative Fill for a unique background STEP 3: In Photoshop, OPEN/Start with the MODEL Photo File STEP 4a: Make a Copy (Cmd/Cntrl J) of the Original Model Layer STEP 3: In Photoshop, OPEN/Start with the MODEL Photo File STEP 4a: Make a Copy (Cmd/Cntrl J) of the Original Model Layer STEP 4b: Flip the Photo - Go to Edit > Transform >Flip Horizontal STEP 5: ADD Objects onto/above the model copy layer At least SIX (6) separate objects from Step 2 (plus a unique scene/background) (File >Place Embedded) • MUST Use Layer Masks to HIDE unwanted backgrounds! ⚫ DO NOT DELETE or ERASE Anything! • Custom Name each Layer to describe the object, technique, manual colors/painting and other tools, added effect (double-click on the Layer Name & type) STEP 6: Continue making modifications/improvements and ADD characteristics and effects using the following techniques: Must use ALL techniques below . Adjustment Layers (Hue/Saturation, Levels, Color Balance, etc) • Layer Masks • Brush-Tool Painted selections on separate layers (lip color, eye color, hair color, skintone & clothing). • Use of tools from the Tools Panel such as dodge, burn, blur, sharpen, and smudge to alter the appearance of the person and objects • Use of a variety of Menu>Filters effects such as: Liquify>Face-Aware • Sharpen> Unsharp Mask • Filter>Pixellate>Facet 0 Filter Filter Gallery > Texture, etc. • All Custom-Named Layers MUST show a Minimum of 12 Layers STEP 7: Save As Fantasy_YourName.psd STEP 7: Save As Fantasy_YourName.psd Step 8: In Photoshop, take a Screenshot(s) of your RESULT and the FULLY Expanded Layers Panel side-by-side like the student example above. Rename the screenshot(s) as interface.png Step 9: In Photoshop, OPEN the interface.png and RESIZE the File (Image>Image Size) to 600 pixels wide and Save
