1. Could UBI Work in the United States? Could a

federal minimum income scheme potentially

replace some forms of food, income, or social

insurance programs? Examine the theory and

evidence, drawing upon examples where

minimum income programs have been

implemented in the U.S. or abroad, and/or

evaluate proposals like those promoted by the

Basic Income Earth Network or other leaders in

the UBI movement.
