Introduction: The ultimate motive of the company should be to earn revenue and profit from its bonus but what path should be chosen to obtain those revenue or profit. Before obtaining profit company should also focus on how to fulfill customer expectations, needs, and wants.

Maslow Pyramid Hierarchy of needs strategies

Joie De vivre has examined that many American people look for a boutique hotel at an affordable price with all the facilities available on the hotel. Company should not only focus on premium segment customers but also focus on customers earning moderate income. Chip Conley has adopted the Maslow Hierarchy in its organizational structure that defines fulfilling the basic needs of guest is not enough for the hotel business or providing quality service to lower level customers is not enough for the retention of those customers. Company should take feedback from the customer and should also analyze how the guest after receiving services are reviewing about the company by using online application or through word of mouth. Conventional surveys should be conducted for the guest feedback and should ask about the quality of service provided, staff friendliness, room service or comfort, etc. Joie follows the technique of strategic marketing in its business model that he has implemented in its hotel business. This strategy examine the expectations and wants of the company customers as what of services they want or what types of product they need from the hotel (Cuomo et al., 2022). So the bottom level of Maslow describe the basic needs of customer in hotel business that needs to be fulfilled such as clean room with clean bed. The second level describe the safety retirements of the customers such as lockers in the room, electronic doors in the room, high-tech parking areas, etc. The social needs of customers should also be fulfilled by the hotel owners. Once these needs are fulfilled then the self-actualization level or identity refreshments level are generated.

Unique or different corporate culture:

A strong culture in the organization should be created by the management that can add values in the organization.

Enthusiastic workforce:

Selecting and training front-line staff for the company is a movement by the organization that is necessary for the employees empowerment.

Customer Loyalty:

Creation of customer loyalty is a very difficult and complex process as the guest are unpredictable and can easily switch to other organization. So, Joie decided to deliver unique products by providing quality service to the niche markets.

Merged strategies:

If the strategies are merged then the management can be able to follow the best practice to improve company operations.

Feedback of Guest:

Guest opinion can be obtained and understand by using Market Metrix strategy which is a very powerful strategy for opinion analysis. Personal feedback should be collected from guest by the front-line employees and the problems should be solved by considering those personal feedback (Hu & Olivieri, 2021).

Conclusion:

It is to be concluded that Hospitality industry should follow sustainable model of business by doing agreement with key suppliers or key partners in the business and also by implementing different strategies or theory of improving business operation.
