Question

1 The force acting on a charged particle in uniform magnetic field B is F = q ( x B), whereis the electric charge of the particle and v is its velocity. By using Newton's second law m \frac{d v}{d t}=F or otherwise, show that a) the force and velocity must be perpendicular; (b) the velocity has constant magnitude: ) and, if the magnetic field is time independent, then the force has constant magnitude. Is the magnitude of the force constant also if B is time dependent?
