2) (11 pts each) Consider an ideal Jet-Propulsion Cycle. At the inlet to the diffuser the pressure is 40 kPa and the temperature is -30°C and the air velocity is

V1 = (700 + 3y) m/s. (That is, if y = 12, then V1 = 736 m/s). Use a cold-air standard (constant specific heats). The pressure ratio across the compressor is 8. The maximum temperature for the cyde is 1450°C. Find the: a. Temperature just after the diffusor. b. The heat addition in the combustion chamber (or heat exchang er) . Find the velocity at the exit of the nozzle. c. Find the temperature at the exit of the turbine.
