simplest, least expensive design was using a 12 oz Styrofoam cup nestled within a 16 oz Styrofoam cup such that they touched only at the upper rim. This was then compared to a standard $10 plastic hot drink travel mug made of high- density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. Problem Statement: Realize that neither of the designs above are perfect adiabatic calorimeters (q0). We just want to see which is better. The two designs are both filled with 85°C water to the brim and covered. You can assume that the heat loss from the lid is negligible and there are no evaporative losses (cups are full). Analyze the two cases and see which has the lower heat transfer rate (q) at steady state. Clearly state ALL your assumptions and provide accurate sketches of the geometry for the problem you are solving.
