able to enjoy a glass of wine and a nice view of Tower Bridge, her favourite London landmark, after exhausting days at work. Harold said: "If you like the kitchen, wait until you see the balcony views!". Nina was delighted to see that the flat offered beautiful panoramic views of London. Nina texted Harold the next day: "I will buy the flat for £5 million cash, but only if you pay for all the conveyancing costs". Harold replied: "I have had a lot of interest in this flat, and unless you pay the deposit by Friday and agree to cover all the costs, I will sell the flat to someone else". Nina agreed to pay the deposit as requested, but declined to cover the costs, to which Harold replied: "Great, happy to proceed as initially discussed". During the conveyancing process, Harold noticed that large scaffolding was installed on the building directly opposite Harold's flat, partially obscuring the views of the Tower of London. The day before the handover of the keys, Harold told Nina: "I need you to pay an extra £100,000 due to the cost of living crisis, otherwise I will pull out from the sale". Nina's architect advised her that Harold's neighbour had just put a very similar flat on the market in the same price range, but Nina nonetheless paid without protest and, upon receiving the keys, immediately instructed her lawyer to recover the excess £100,000 paid.
