3. The evaluation of the founding members can be understood through leadership roles. They had three types of people as defined by them and they are the “business guy” that is Jon, Tim an “idea guy” and Will an “engineering guy”. They have defined these roles but where they are able to work based on them is something we have to understand. Moreover, there is no sub-team to suggest the process. In business, it is the best idea to have a business strategy and business marketing persona to pitch in the product to other clients. In this case, we see them taking dual roles to deal with the issue. Jon and Tim have also done a “pitch team” and they were responsible for raising money. They have defined their roles as CEO, CTO, and CMO but they would require a sub-team to assist the process, and moreover, when Jon quit, it would be an additional weight on Tim to handle dual roles. Had they had a sub-team they would have performed better.
