LEACHATE COLLECTION SYSTEM DESIGN Use your knowledge of landfill design and the site characteristics for your landfill (see Appendix) to: Specify what the maximum design depth of liquid on the landfill liner will be (i.e., how much 'ponding' will be allowable on the liner at the bottom of the landfill?). Use units of inches. Justify your choice (hint: make sure it falls within regulation). • Specify the drainage slope (%) along the bottom liner of the landfill, where the floor slopes towards a low-point that has a leachate collection pipe (hint: review slides).
