3 Ans. Uccellacci e uccellini(The Hawks and the sparrows) is a movie directed by the famous Italian movie maker Paolo Pasolini during 60s. This movie has strong neorealist tendencies but at the same time , there are iinstances where the movie strays from its neorealist character. Imagining a crow speaking Marxist sermon is nothing but only a neo-realist fantasy that this movie begins with. The constant comparison between the rich and the poor through the story of the father and his son is at the centre of the movie that revolves around Marxism and Christianity. The symbolism is neorealistic but the technique of a parable into a parable and the imagery of a crow is totally distinct from the neorealist tradition.
