3 TRAVERSE CALCULATION PROCEDURE The traverse calculation does not make use of the fieldwork measurements you took. Instead, you will use the sample closed traverse booking sheet measurements shown in Figure 3. In the sample traverse survey vertical angle measurements were not taken but horizontal distances were taken. A PDF copy of this booking sheet is available on Canvas. The PDF copy includes a site sketch not shown here, along with notes of the known co-ordinates of stations STNS and G23. As you can see, at each station in the sample traverse only one forward sight target was observed, which was then the next station to be occupied. The calculation for the mean angles turned between the backsight target and the forward sight target has been done for you. OBSERVER Aaron A.
