3. What problems can a national parliamentary system of government (including an elected House of Commons and an appointed Senate) cause in a country such as Canada which also employs

a system of federalism? Can you think of examples when, in your opinion, a majority government in Canada was insensitive to the interests of the regions? Would a presidential system of government like that used in the USA also be problematic when having to resolve tensions between national and provincial governments? What advice would you give to Canadian politicians to help ease the tension between the national and provincial governments?
