(a) Consider the cables in Problem 1 above are made of a material with E = 2 GPa. Determine the stresses in the cables and the deflection of point B assuming small deflection.

(b) Next, determine the stresses in the cables and the deflection of point B assuming large deflections and using the technique employed in example 3.2-4 in class lecture slides. Show the sequence of steps in each iteration. Discuss the accuracy as compared with the results of Problem 2(a).

This will be a "Iteration of the decoupled solution" analysis, and you can use either MS Office Excel or Matlab for the iterations. Show the results of each iteration. Include all iterations till convergence.
