A pair of 12 lb cylinders at A and C are suspended by inextensible cables wrapped around a pair of frictionless pulleys. Each cable is connected to the 16 lb block at B. When block B is released from rest, it pulls the cables and raises the two cylinders. The sections of cable of length w = 5 ft are initially horizontal and end up diagonal. Neglecting the size of the pulleys and the weight of the cable, find the distance that block B has descended when the system momentarily comes to rest before the block rises again.
