And, in less than 150words, explain why soil basic properties are important in geotechnical engineering. i) Calculate the flow rate in m³/s and determine how much water is expected to flow in a day from the upstream to the downstream side. ii) Based on the design of the water reservoir in Figure 3(b), calculate the pore pressures in A and B. In less than 150 words and with the aid of sketches, name the rules that allow the drawing of a flow net.
