• A very brief introduction paragraph that explains what will be in the debate paper. The

introduction should inform the reader the purpose of the paper, the policy areas that will

be discussed, and a thesis statement about which ideology has the stronger arguments

(regarding the two policy areas in question). For the thesis statement, provide your

informed judgment about which ideology is 'winning' the debate when it comes to policy

ideas.

Two or more 'body' paragraphs that explain and elaborate your analysis and arguments

(for example, you could have a paragraph for each policy area).

A very brief conclusion paragraph that summarizes what the paper contained, and restates

the thesis.

•

A 'Works Cited' section that shows the sources you cited in the paper (only those sources

that actually have in-text citations in the report). This should be in APA-style (or I also

accept APSA-style).
