You are reaching the end of your BS degrees and though your learning at KFUPM may be coming to an end, it is important for you to realize that learning is a life-long process. Learning occurs in many forms including: first-hand experiences, reading books, journals, etc., and listening to experts. TEAM Design and the rest of your career as an engineer will be filled with first-hand experiences from which you will hone your engineering skills. These experiences will be some of the most valuable learning activities you will undergo throughout your career. Books, journals, trade magazines, etc. are all materials that have been vetted by experts in the field, are dense with information, and are a valuable source of reliable information for your careers. Generally, these sources are more valuable than the internet. Due to the ease of access to information, the internet has emerged as, arguably, the most used source of information. Not all of the information found on the internet trustworthy. Much of the content on the web is unvetted. If you ever use the internet as a source of information, then be sure that verify what the original source of information is. Listening to experts in the field is another common way with which one can continue the life-long learning process. Professors, industry experts, professionals (doctors, lawyers, veterinarian) are all trained experts in their respective fields that are listened to regularly. Their opinions are trusted because they have had more training and/or experience than most others in their area, and they have been vetted by trusted and accredited institutions.
