We are leaving the 1980s and going into the 1990s film depictions of

Mexican/Latinx/ndigena/Afro-Latinx. More than less, the films we have seen

so far have informed, misinformed, and also shaped American Culture at

large. The main thing we should have picked up from previous readings as

they relate to films is how Culture (s) is both products and agents of history.

Culture is the product and consequence of how society asks (or socializes)

to view and interpret people. Culture, too, is what people in actuality do with

each other and not just what is said about them.
