Part 1: Obtain Peer Reviewed Journal Article

Find an academic journal article. Your sources should be published between 2015 -

2020. Do not use web pages, blogs, Wikipedia or Google scholar. You should choose from

academic journals in the field of psychology.

• The article needs to relate to lifespan development in some way. Use the study plans to get

ideas for your topic.

Part 2: Journal Summary and Critique

Write a minimum of two-three full-pages (650-975 words) summarizing and critiquing the peer

reviewed Journal article.

1. Summarize the research and the results of the article you chose in your own words. Be sure

to give credit for the original idea by citing your article using APA citations (even if you are

paraphrasing).

1. Identify and describe the basic assumption of the researchers.

2. Why were they conducting this research?

3. How was the study performed? What methods were used?

2. Critique this article. - Tell me your thoughts, and your general reaction.

1. How do you feel about the outcomes you read about?

2. Are you surprised with the findings of this study? Why or why not?

3. Paper requirements:

4. 12 point, Times New Roman Font

5. One -inch margins

6. Double Spaced

7. Use in text citations for each resource, in APA format.

8. Must include a reference page for your paper. Do not submit reference page separately,

it should be submitted as one document.

9. Minimum of 650 words. Papers less than 650 words will receive a grade of 0.
