In Unit 4: Ethics and social responsibility, we reviewed the concept of sustainability. More

businesses today are stepping up to take action to commit to sustainable practices and tackling

climate change. In this discussion, you'll have the opportunity to further explore what you and

businesses can do. In your discussion posts, find and share professional sources that help you

discuss the following:

1) The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) include Goal 13: Climate Action that calls

for timely action to combat climate change and its impacts. Find and describe an

example of how a business or government has stepped up to make commitments

towards this goal, influencing how they operate

2) Beyond expecting businesses and government to do their part for the planet, we can

each do our own part too - Review Waterloo's Sustainability Guide and consider what

impactful actions you can take to incorporate sustainable behaviours in your campus life

or future workplace
