(hint: check your text.) No % daily value of protein is given because of two reasons 1) because how much protein is necessary for optimal health is not yet established and 2) according to FDA there is no protein deficiency in United States therefore it’s not necessary to mention % dv for protein How do the two products compare in total calories and in fat calories? Hellman’s mayonnaise contains 35 kcal while mars bar contains a whopping 200 kcal in each serving. Mayonnaise has 3.5g of total fat while mars bar has 14 g of total fat moreover it contains a very high amount of saturated fat nearly 5 g Does either product make a health claim? What is the claim? Do you think it is justified? Yes, Hellman’s mayonnaise claims 60% fewer calories and fat than regular mayonnaise, and looking at their nutrition table i think the claims are justified. Compare the two in the number of nutrients provided. Does this change your mind about how you perceive the products? (Healthy or unhealthy)? Are they as good or bad as you thought before working on this lab? Mar’s bar chocolate does not provide any good nutrients despite being of high calorific value instead gives high unhealthy saturated fat and sugar while Hellman’s light mayonnaise provides vitamin e, vitamin c, and egg yolk containing vitamins and folate while keeping the calories in check and is also with no sugar Yes, it changed my perspective of looking at food products now after this lab i am much more conscious about the nutrient value apart from the taste
