Topic 1 - SP 1A - Storm Rainfall Analysis

The recent storm rainfall of December 14, 2014 as recorded at the Los Angeles County

minute rainfall amounts and show them similarly on the Excel spreadsheet.

rainfall durations in part a)

c. Plot the 15 minute, 20 minute and 30 minute along with the 5 minute and 10 minute

intensities. Y-axis as Rainfall Intensity, in/hr, and x-axis as Rainfall Duration, minutes.

d. Insert a reasonable trendline. Note it will not be linear; so experiment with other

forms. Show the equation and the correlation coefficient R², on the graph (an option

in Excel)
