Consider the following scenario in your paper:

You have been selected as the new Commander of the Personnel and Training Division. On day one, you

appear before the Board of Police Commissioners who inform you of the following:

1. Recently, several personnel problems can be traced back to faulty human resource management

practices, including weak selection processes and inadequate training of recruits, supervisors,

and commanders.

2. A failure to achieve and maintain a diverse workforce has not been reflective of the different

populations in the community.

3. Recent sexual harassment, age and job discrimination suits involving the force's officers and

supervisors, have reflected poor standards of conduct and discipline.
