Question

. Consider the following charge distribution:

This distribution consists of four triangular sheets of metal. One triangle lies in the zz plane, another lies in the yz plane, one lies in the zy plane. The fourth sheet is the one that appears to be "leaning" against the z axis, with one corner at z = a, one corner at yb, and one corner at zc. The sheets are insulated from one another by rubber strips at the seams where the sheets are attached. The sheet in the zz plane has a surface charge density 1, the sheet in the yz plane has surface charge density 02, the sheet in the zy plane has surface charge density 3, and the last sheet has surface charge density 4. All charge densities are uniform, but different from one another. (a) What is the electric field inside of this charge distribution? Explain your reasoning. (b) Would Gauss's law be a useful tool to determine the electric field outside of this distribu-tion? Why or why not? If so, what would you use for a Gaussian surface? Explain yourreasoning. Be very specific.
