DAVIS BACON WAGES

Purpose: The surveyor is required to adhere to Federal and State payment law

when providing surveying services.

Background: You are performing surveying services for the United States

government surveying property to be acquired and become part of Hobe

Sound, Florida National Wildlife Refuge.

Surveying services include boundary surveying, mapping, and trail layout.

Your supervisor, yourself (SI), and a survey technician (two year associate

degree) will do all the work. Your supervisor is licensed and paid a salary.

The expected fee paid to the firm will be approximately $45,000.

Your supervisor requests that you obtain department of labor information for

the area to determine the prevailing wages that must be paid to all those

employees from the firm that are involved in the project. Be sure to cite

sources and the category that you and the other employee would fall in.
