1. Review this checklist.
2. Identify 2 of the child's strengths. This can be determined by finding an item that is coded as 'Yes' and using the comment.
3. Identify 2 of the child's areas in need of improvement. This can be determined by finding an item that is coded as 'No' and using the comment.
4. Choose 1 of the areas for improvement that you identified. Go to NCFELD. Find the domain that the area falls into and choose a goal that addresses the area for improvement. Be sure to include the domain, the goal and the developmental indicator.
5. Suggest an activity that would improve development in this area. For example, if a 1 year old was not demonstrating object permanence; then an appropriate activity would be playing Peek-a- Boo.
