Allometry is considered a manifestation of the evolutionary constraints. It describes how the characteristics of living creature change with size. For the first graph The graph depicts that as the body mass in grams increases the molecular activity in both mammals and birds decreases. The birds and mammals have shallower and more variable static allometries than in any vertebrates. Static allometry is allometry within species. The pattern is consistent in birds but mammals have reduced allometric constraint . It is ubiquitous in other jawed vertebrates. Both the functions are inversely proportional that is if body mass increases molecular activity decreases and vice versa. The highest degree of molecular activity will be seen in birds as they have low body mass. But the body mass in mammals is high so the molecular activity recorded will be low. The increase molecular activity in small mammals and birds also increase the ion pump activity. But with the bigger animals and birds the molecular weight tends to decrease.
