Do you believe that technology has indeed flattened the world in terms of providing economic opportunity? Do you believe digital media have changed social interaction and human connections? How do you think the economy in your country (USA) will change as it moves closer to a technology-driven service economy?

I don't really believe that technology has flattened the globe in regards to economic opportunity, but rather that it has allowed it to expand broader by facilitating globalization, making it simpler to grow and start a firm, lowering manufacturing costs, enhancing communication, and so on. It has improved and established a stage for economic opportunity since it was difficult to access and obtain information about employment sources when they were available in the early years, but the arrival of technological advancements has enabled it much simpler to acquire that information. Yes, I completely believe that digital media has improved human communication. We are now more interconnected than ever before compared to our pre-internet days. Earlier, communicating with people who lived far away or living in another country because of employment, family moving to different towns and cities, or any other cause was incredibly difficult. However, while technology allows us to interact with individuals globally in real-time, it also exposes us to the danger of loneliness, in addition to various types of abuse and manipulation. Technological innovation has increased the productivity of the US economy, meanwhile, this new economy is providing less employment and lowering down wages. It is preparing employees for a future in which productivity and employment will be no longer connected, which will be the next generation's major issue. As the United States gets closer to a technology-driven service economy, economists, organizations, and regulators must embrace the paradigmatic shift in order to be prepared to deal with the inevitable changes brought on by artificial intelligence and machine learning.
