Do you see evidence of this concept in your own life? Criteria for success: Names and explains a theory/concept/vocabulary word from either chapter 5 or 6 in our textbook Applies that concept to an instance in one's own life Example: For a reflection, I might select the concept of McDonaldization to talk about how my everyday life, is different from my teens (I'm 45) (Textbook section 6.3). When I think back to how much more time I had to spend doing everyday things-deposit a check in person at the bank, filling out a deposit slip, having to remember people's phone numbers by heart because cell phones were not yet widely available, etc-versus the efficient ways of checking out, ordering online, delivery via Uber Eats, but with much less interaction with my fellow neighbors-I start to realize how much organizations have changed.
