Question

During heavy weather, the propeller of the diesel electric M.V. Madupiumcame out of the water and resulted in an over speeding incident of the main propulsion electric motor. This resulted in damage to the propulsion motor which subsequently resulted in it being disconnected from the board. Just before it was disconnected the reading from the data logger showed that the blue phase temperature was overheated significantly, neutralline current was IN84.128 AZ32.88°. From the specification manual it |can be seen that the motor is meant to have a phase impedance of 226.690 and a power factor of 0.06601. The motor was-supplied with6.6kV and operated at 60HZ. From the above information calculate the current flowing through the-blue phase just before the motor was disconnected. Determine the new resistance and inductance of the blue phase.
