Key information about this module's assessment In this module, you will complete a project where you will identify and investigate a problem affecting people that is important to you. You will decide on what you investigate with guidance from your lecturer, and then you will design an innovative solution to the problem. We will be exploring the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals as part of our research into your chosen problem. Your project solution will be small-scale - it will be something that you could actually make happen, within a small budget of £1,000 or €1,200. This module will encourage you to explore your potential to be a changemaker – someone who makes a difference. There are two separate assessment tasks for this module, each with its own assessment brief, that you will need to complete to pass: ●• • Assessment 1 - Poster (worth 40%): share your project solution with others by designing an academic poster. Assessment 2 - Project (worth 60%): describe, and reflect on, the process of carrying out your project. You need to complete all tasks on both assessment briefs to achieve the full range of marks available. Poster assessment brief In this assessment task, you will: • Share your project findings You will do this by: • A ARDEN UNIVERSITY Designing an academic poster of 800 words Content of your academic poster (800 words) Posters are used in the academic world to share information in an audience-friendly way. Your task is to design a poster that provides key information about your project. Your academic poster should include the following: • An informative and interesting title. • • • A brief outline of your chosen problem, citing appropriate academic sources (250 words). An explanation of how it relates to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (100 words). A description of your solution and an evaluation of its likely impact (450 words). • A reference list in the AU Harvard style (not included in the word count). Don't forget that the academic poster is a summary of your proposed solution, so you only need to include key points.
