There are 3 parts to this assignment

Part 1: Discuss your chosen subject. Why did you choose this subject? What does it mean to you?

Answer these questions in a half-page paragraph. 12-point font, single-spaced (about 200 words)

Part 2: Propose an art project concerning the subject you chose. Tell me about an art project you

would like to create with no limitations. Answer these questions when proposing the project:

1. What is the project you want to create?

2. Where will it go - if in a gallery, which gallery, and why? lookup real galleries or make up a fake

one. or maybe it's not a gallery (see #3)

3. Is it a public space piece? (in a courtyard, mall, outside)

4. describe the project and draw a model to the best of your ability

5. What do you want the viewer to get from this piece?

This could be a performance piece, a sculpture, painting, video, sound, installation...

**Part 2 should be written out in paragraph (1/2 page - page) form with an image or description of

the project. Don't list the numbers and answer the questions.

Part 3: Tell me about an artist who has created work on the same subject. Attach a link or a photo of

their work. (AROUND 5-6 LINES)
