MSc Projects:

Thesis: "Bipolar Electrogram Morphology Correlates with Extracellular Matrix Burden"

Through ex vivo perfusion of myocardial cells, unipolar electrogram data was obtained via an 8x8 microelectrode

assay plate and converted into bipolar electrograms.

Myocardial slices were imaged using Second Harmonic Generation microscopy to quantify the auto fluorescent

regions of collagen.

An algorithm was used to derive twenty-seven novel time, frequency, and time-frequency domain features from

the derived bipolar electrogram data and correlated using linear regression with collagen index.

Binary masks are created by combining Regions of Interest (ROIs) around the electrodes using a PYTHON code

and correlations were made using PRISM software (Graph pad)
