I hope you all are starting to understand the navigation in the course Modules. I wanted to mention a bit about your projects. When you select/create your "Data Centric" company that you will construct for this course, please keep these factors in mind: Don't get too caught up in the "product", but make sure that the company you are creating has a large enough computing and data infrastructure for which you could apply the Data Management principles to its design. Your company will need databases, data management, IT system, staff, management policies, procedures, data security, data assurance, and applied governance (see the textbook). Focus High Level for the concept - large enough to integrate the aforementioned. Regarding what industry to create the company - that is wide open to an area you might be interested in. Reminder about the project: It is not a group project, it is individual, where it is your ideas, written and illustrated work. I believe that you should have fun with this one, especially since you have your own creative touch to fold into the work./nThroughout the course, you will work on a project where you will apply lesson concepts to develop a data management plan for a fictitious organization. Before you begin, please review the Course Project information in the Syllabus and Assignments area on the course menu. In Week 1, you will come up with your data centric product or service that your company will offer. (Please note: The juvenile records management system exercise in this course should not be your project idea. You need to come up with your own, original product or service.) In a written summary, address the following: Information about the company including size, locations(s) customers and partner relationships. Information about the product or service, what it is and how it will be used. What data will be collected and what information will be assembled? Why data management is important for this company's data? What supporting organizations will be involved? What kind of funding would be necessary for such a data management system? What ethical concems might you face with data collection, storage, use, and
