Question

In this reflection I want you to think about your own experiences with racial differences, about how it feels to hear children talk about racial

identity, and your reaction to the material in this module

1. In what kinds of situations in your life today do issues of racial difference come up? What is that like? Are there things you wished you

understood better so you could speak more clearly about them?

2. What is it like for you when you hear or observe a child talking about racial identity? How comfortable are you talking about this topic with

children? What might make you uncomfortable? What could help you feel more comfortable responding?

3. How did you feel as you read and watched the material in this module? Are there any questions you had about anything you read or watched?

Were you very familiar with these issues before? Was there anything you saw or read that you found surprising? Is there anything you learned

that has changed the way you think about race or racial identity?
