In your scuba diving lessons, you learnt that you could dive to a depth of approximately 30m in the regular ocean, without having to do a safety stop. (a) What would be the pressure at this depth? The density of salt water is 1030 kg/m³. (b) You go on holidays and want to go diving in the dead sea. If you wish to dive no deeper than the pressure that you are acquainted with (so no safety stop is required- from part a),what is the maximum depth to which you can go? The density of the dead sea is1240 kg/m³.(2)
