INSTRUCTIONS:

You will demonstrate your skills at using MLA style by creating a short report about a social

issue that exists to this day in either Canada or the United States.

THE TOPIC I CHOSE İS GAMBLING ADDICTION

(This should already be done) Look on the course for the discussion "Social Issues in Canada

and the United States" to look at some inspiration. Sign up for your choice of a social issue,

be as specific as possible, only one student per social issue. You are free to go off the

suggested list but that needs to be approved by the teacher.

Find two (or more) credible sources that discuss the social issue that you signed up for. You

should have a total of at least two sources in your assignment.

Avoid Wikipedia, a recommended source is Canadian Encyclopaedia.

If you still aren't sure, please ask your teacher before continuing.

You must take research notes from these two sources, be sure you keep track of where the

information comes from as you will need that when you are writing your report and creating

your in-text citations and Works Cited.
