Module 15: Conflict Discussion Mar 4- Mar 8 Imagine a conflict between a really loud, large, white, male supervisor who is an in-charge kind of person and a quiet, introverted, physically small, woman of colour who reports to this supervisor. Answer the following questions: What impact does the difference in access to power resources have in mediation between these individuals? • The focus here must be on the impact of the differences on the mediation, not a general discussion of power. •If you were the mediator, how would you seek to address the imbalance of access to power resources between these two for a mediation session? • How might this change if you perceive that the supervisor is a bully? If you perceive the supervisor to be a bully, do you mediate? Why or why not? Post your responses in the discussion forum and respond to the initial posts of at least two other people.
