Select an innovator from a pre-approved list (available on Brightspace). Everyone on the list could be described as impactful. Impactful can mean financially successful, technically brilliant and/or focused on social change and prosperity. They can innovate in any context - large corporations, start-ups, government, healthcare, local communities, creative industries, food industries...the spaces in which innovation can happen is limitless. The key is that they have been responsible for creating and implementing a new idea. 3. Once you have identified your impactful innovator, the next step is to do some additional research to learn more about them and their story. I'll be looking for you to incorporate a minimum of 4 reliable sources in your effort to write your essay. You can start with some of the web articles that are included on the list of innovators. Your sources for this assignment do not need to be academic (they don't need to be from peer-reviewed journals). They can be from online news websites or business and industry magazines. They can be from online blogs as long you assess the quality of the information source and disclose any limitations or bias that you think might relevant (you can do this using footnotes in the essay). Be very sure to cite your sources accurately (put quotation marks and in-text citations around full quotes and in-text citations without quotes around information that is paraphrased).
