Scenario: Let's assume you are as Change Management key specialist for choosen
organization (Apple in this scenario for assignment). The assignment will be an
organizational change development plan requiring you to investigate a situation of
organizational change, analyzing the multiple causes, organisational and social
consequences critically using the theory taught in the module along with academic and

findings. Your assignment will also include recommendations to lead and manage

illustrations.
Task 1 - 10 Marks
Executive Summary: Example: In this assignment, several aspects of organisational
change management will be discussed, involving numerous contexts of Force Field
Analysis, Open Systems, John Kotter's 8 Step Change model, and others. These
aspects will be aligned as per the case scenario of Apple organisation.
Write an introduction to the assignment that clearly states the aim and structure of the
assignment and summarises the key issues you have identified in the case scenario. If
there is data contained in the case scenario comment on that - what is the data telling
you about what the underlying organisational problems might be. This should help you
focus on the recommendations section.
Task 2 - 20 Marks
Investigate the case scenario, analyzing the problems faced by the organization that the
change process will have to address. Discuss the links between leadership, culture,
power and politics, and their effect on the organization as it is described in the case
study, also any external factors you think may be relevant. You will demonstrate your
critical awareness of organisation theory taught on the module and your wider reading
in these topics by your use of academic and professional literature to support your
analysis. Identify and analyse the implications of managing strategic change in
supporting Organizational transformation. Analyse the organisational management
challenges faced during the transformation changes experience by the organization.
Task 3 - 30 Marks
Discuss how a change programme might be designed and implemented that would solve
the problems identified. Assess the factors that drive the need for strategic change and
critically evaluate the resource implications for not responding to these changes.
Discuss the multi-dimensional nature of organizational change and the different types
of change. Critically use appropriate theory to support your argument including change
management theory covered. Reflect on leadership and cultural issues, internal politics
and employee engagement and organisational development.
Task 4-10 marks Create a change management strategy involving the stakeholders, and also devise
strategies to overcome resistance. Produce a clear and justified conclusion which brings
together the different strands of your argument and points towards the next section.
Relates clearly and logically to the identified topic and to the preceding discussion with
justification and discussion of limitations. Create a change management strategy

leadership attributes which leads to enhanced contribution by managers and the
employees.
