Pick a piece of furniture to create a 2D blueprint for. The furniture must meet these criteria:

1. Has at least 1 set of parallel lines

2. Includes multiple angles that are not right angles

Take a picture of your furniture and attach it to this project. In the grid below, create a diagram of

your piece of furniture. Follow these steps in creating your diagram:

Measure only 2-3 angles using a protractor and include them in the diagram.

• If a shape appears symmetrical, lines appear parallel, or an angle appears to be a right

angle, you may assume it is and label it.

• Using the same statement/reason structure as previously, determine as many other

angles as possible given your 2-3 measurements. The more complex the furniture

and/or the more angles determined and/or the more angle relationships used, the better

the understanding shown.
