Question

Question 2

Develop a work breakdown structure (WBS) for your selected project. Your project

must include 5 - 10 work packages. Each work package needs to be broken down

further. Depending on the complexity of the work package, they may only be broken

down one level further, but some work packages need to be broken down two levels

further.

Your WBS also needs to be numbered correctly. Below your completed WBS

Template diagram write one paragraph in conclusion explaining why you chose the

specific WBS format, why you broke each work package down to the level of detail

you did and provide a key that explains the numbering and levels you used. Use the

same or similar WBS Template, in Burke (2021, page 201), Figure 14.8 to structure

your WBS packages you discussed in Question 1. (25)

Marks will be awarded for selecting an appropriate WBS structure which suits the

type of project you chose. Marks will be awarded for a correctly numbered WBS and

for breaking the project down to the appropriate level of detail, i.e. to a level that

makes it easy to allocate tasks to resources and make management of the project

effective.
