ASSIGNMENT #01

1.0 Introduction to Excel

Students that copy material or files from another student, instead of doing the actual work

themselves, are guilty of academic dishonesty (see your Student Handbook).

If any of the files are copied from another student's computer, disk, or any other source,

the student that copied could be given a lab assignment mark of zero while the student

copied from (if registered in the course) could suffer a 20% lab assignment mark

penalty.

Both students could also be sent to see the Associate Dean concerning their academic

dishonesty

It is each student's responsibility to make sure their lab work is not copied or used by any

other student in the College.

7.0 Discrete Probability Distributions

The hypergeometric distribution is used for problems with a finite population, where each

observation is either a success or a failure, and where each subset of a given size is chosen

with equal likelihood. The Excel hypergeometric formula
