An annotated bibliography is a reference list with a short paragraph describing the source and how
it will support your argument.
You should first submit this task as part of your pre-class work before LP27 to receive feedback.
Your annotated bibliography should contain three entries. Each entry should contain the following:
The source citation in APA style
A 1-3 sentence summary of the main claims of the source
A 1-3 sentence evaluation of the source (based on the CRAAP criteria)
A 1-3 sentence reflection on how the source is useful for your essay.
This is an example of the format:
Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical._ volume
number_ (issue number), pages. https://doi.org/xxxx-xxXXXXXX
This article by [Author] discusses the issue of food waste in the UAE. It claims that restaurants
over-serving portions at large, expensive buffets is a major cause of food waste. Although this
article is slightly older, having been published in 2013, the authors of this article are experts in the
field, it is peer-reviewed, and it is relevant because it is specifically focuses on the MENA region.
This is a useful source because it contains statistics that show the UAE wastes more kilograms of
food per person than any other country, which supports my claim that food waste is an issue that
must be addressed in my country.
