I would draw the reality of technology use in health care field has advanced so much that a consultant in any part of the world can even participate in doing surgery and diagnosis in any part of other country. Technology made the world a global village. The development of new apps and specially to remember the Covid-19 era where there was no choice except to depend on technological advancement.
Your concern of security and data breach is quite clear which could have been in place earlier too. However, the mass exodus of data is possible, however data protection software’s have proven to be applied efficiently to stop such acts by unauthorized users. Every institution specially the banks and others are using technology successfully without such glitches.
Image without the technological advancement like ECG, MRI etc., it was time consuming and left to the consultants to decide the patient’s line of treatment. Technology helped them to diagnose patients at very fast pace thereby saving lives of many patients. With early signs of any disease, the use of devices can further report what is coming up and early diagnosis is possible thereby saving patient from falling prey to that disease.
Application of technological use in healthcare bought much relief to patients, the consultants and overall, to health industry.
Can peers highlight the negatives of using technology in healthcare?
