TED is a wonderful resource for talks by informed

individuals about a host of topics. We will watch a few

of them this quarter and I ask you to build upon this

activity by locating an additional (i.e., not one I

present to you) TED talk on a topic related to adulthood,

adult development, adult education, or other topics

related to the course. Talks are usually 10-20 minutes

each, are free, and can be found on the

TED website: www.ted.com. TED talks can also be found on

other sites such as YouTube.

For your talk, please write a summary of 3 complete

pages. Include relevant information such as the topic of

the talk, the main point (s) of the speaker, examples

provided, and implications of this talk to adult

development. Please assume the reader is not familiar

with this talk.

In an additional 1-2 pages, please offer a reflection of

the talk, focusing on how it impacts your current and

future practices. Please also include proper APA

reference citation as a separate references page. In

total, the summary and reflection of the talk should be

between 4-5 pages NOT including your references page
