Question

\text { Lead Iodide has a solubility product, } K_{\mathrm{sp}}=4.6 \times 10^{-6} \text {. } (i)Determine the concentration of lead and iodide ions in a saturated solution of lead iodide. Lead nitrate, Pb(NO3)2, reacts with aluminium(III) iodide, All3, to give lead (II) iodide, PbI2, and aluminium nitrate, Al(NO3)3. If a solution containing 79.4 g of Pb(NO3)2 in 350 mL was mixed with a solution containing 36.3 g of All3.6H₂0 in 150 mL. Write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction. Determine the mass of lead iodide would be produced by the reaction. Calculate the concentration of the lead ions in the final solution.
