Question

The data acquisition card we use in ME3720 has an adjustable full scale voltagerange (Vfsr). By selecting this range intelligently, we can obtain the best possiblemeasurement (best resolution) each time we use the DAQ. The exercise belowillustrates how the DAQ voltage resolution changes based on the user selected inputrange. Recall, resolution refers to the smallest change in voltage the DAQ canmeasure. The USB-6210 used in lab is a 16-bit data acquisition card. Given the DAQ inputsettings in the table below, calculate the full-scale voltage range (Vfsr), the resolutionof the DAQ, and the Maximum input voltage.

Full scale voltage range of the DAQ, Vfsr [V] with the +/- 0.2 V setting. Q, DAQ resolution using the +/- 0.2 V range [uV] Maximum Voltage DAQ can measure using the +/- 0.2 V range. Full scale voltage range of the DAQ, Vfsr [V], with the +/- 10 V setting. Q, DAQ resolution using the +/- 10 V range [mV] Maximum Voltage DAQ can measure using the +/- 10 V range.
