The topic will be winter Instructions Background In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to create a unit of study using the mind-mapping worksheet around a topic/theme. You will provide goals and objectives you would like to see obtained through your unit of study by using the domains from Wisconsin's Early Model Learning Standards. You will be able to apply this same strategy with your own state's early learning standards in your program on your own. Table Description automatically generated Directions Create two (2) lesson plans, one for each age group - Infant/Toddler and Preschool and reflect on your process. You may use the age group templates provided (in Additional Resources). First, for each age group complete a chart and mind map. Select a topic of study for each age group – Infant/Toddler and Preschool. You do not need to use the same topic for each age group. However, you may not use previous course material (from this course or another course) that was submitted for grading. Select one goal from each domain for your unit of study, using Wisconsin's Early Model Learning Standards. You will have five (5) goals. Write one developmentally appropriate learning objective that supports each goal. Each learning objective must be measurable, include conditions for the objective to be met, and include criteria for acceptable performance. You will have five (5) objectives. Create a mind map with the unit of study in the middle. Add learning activities in the different areas found within each of the learning environment. The learning activities need to support at least one of your learning objectives and/or goals for your unit of study. Note: You may want to refer to Module 01 for integrating across domains and/or centers. Second, write a reflection on the planning process. Discuss the following: How do you feel about the planning process and implementing it for units of study? What was complicated for you? What was intuitive for you? Explain your thoughts. Share why you selected the topics for the lesson plans. How do you think this topic(s) will fit within the overall topics for an early childhood classroom? What is your greatest takeaway about lesson planning from this assignment? Explain your answer. Submission Submit an Infant/Toddler chart and mind map. Submit a Preschool chart and mind map.
