There's a mechanics question that has been bothering me for a long time. Here's thesummary: A rope of length L and mass m slides off a friction less table (with gravity as the sole acting force). (a) Calculate the Normal Contact Force and Tension at the instance when the rope is thrown off the table. (b) Using calculations, explain how the shape/movement of the rope changes as it is thrown off the table. I have worked out the solution to part (a) of the question:

However, I am currently stuck at part (b). I can't seem to figure out/calculate how the movement of the rope would be after it is thrown off the table. May someone please help me with it?
